Due to covid-19 breakdown, most of education systems converted to whole online learning, and as the final semester for the current year is on the end, assessments must be done to measure if the student get the required knowledge and skills that qualify him to the next step in his life, studying or working. In TVET system, practical part is the most important part through the education and training process, but it depends largely on the real practicing inside the laboratory or workshop, and real apprenticeship at the workplace, so that now is impossible due to the pandemic. All of TVET institutes are training their students by using virtual laboratories and simulation procedures. However, it is best than non, but how these institute could ensure that their students would get the required skills?. Absolutely the answer is by assessment. Then, how assessment for this issue could be achieved electronically?. That is the question. so I look foreword for your answers to build a suitable vision which may help us at the TVET institutes.

Dear Doctor of Engineering. It is a really very difficult question, I have already tried to answer it to other researchers who are also professors like me. In principle, it is almost impossible to evaluate the training of practical skills in a virtual way, in the cases of professional technical education, the presence in the evaluation is essential. I can not imagine how skills can be evaluated in specialties such as mechanics, civil construction, electricity and others if the teacher or an evaluating court is not present. A variant could be that the student runs a real-time job online with the teacher and then the teacher evaluates how the theory received in the classroom was applied in the preparation of the oriented work. Another way could be to guide works that, due to their level of complexity, students have to spend a lot of time finding the state of the art of the problem to be able to carry out the practical work that was oriented to them and online "verify" the way they are doing it. These are two variants, but there will always be the question of whether we really fairly evaluate the way in which students appropriated the skills of the programs. For me it is more practical to leave a space in the next course to evaluate each skill in person.
Mahir Majeed You could use MCQs that have images (pathology slides, microbiology images, or others) together with a brief scenario followed by 4 or 5 distractors (items) to select the best option. You could use ask illustrations/diagrams with a briefcase and ask for short written answers. You could use 2-5 minute video followed by a question.

very pertinent question at the moment. Quite agree that the theoretical part can be well taught by online lectures,skill based virtual training,s , theoretical aspects can be well achieved by virtual video,s, case scenario,s or simulation based trainings.
But how to achieve the feel of the body while putting the I/v line needs the human body for the medical students
ex at the present day context you can be expert at COVID 19 webinars after ,attending around 10 or so , ,know the steps of Donning and doffing PPE,s ,
know use of HCQ, Remdisivir and others , know about PCR testing ,interpretation but it will be difficult to manage if really you happen to manage the case of COVID 19 without practical guidance and learning skills .
this is the Gap between the Virtual online training and the the onsite training .
I feel the modalities should be combined as a package and must give the importance for on-site teaching whenever it is feasible . relating to present context after the COVID 19 pandemic is over get ready for practical training and at present do not miss the opportunity to take advantage of virtual trainings.

Theoretical this system up to some extent is o.k,but practically it is not successful . Technical and performance of practical by hand is most important part.
