For me all the conduction with negative voltage is a reverse conduction which must be suppressed. However, i would propose in order to interpret the obtained current wave forms that you test your designed MOS diode by applying a sinusoidal wave with different frequencies up to the highest operating frequency and display I-V characteristics in every case in addition to the current wave forms.

This is one thing, the other thing is what is the input waveform to get the displayed waveform?

After this information one may map the different current regions on the different operating regime of the device after identifying them by the I-V curves at the different frequencies.

This may be nit a direct answer but a method to reach to an answer.

First, virtuoso is a layout suite, what you need is a simulator like spectre/spice to see the IV curves. As far as I am aware, no simulator will break down the regions for you, it is up to you to plot the graph and identify the regions. With some tinkering you could automate/script the process.

You can annotate dc operating points in cadence. In DC operating points you can find region. Here you can see cut-off, linear, saturation and sub-threshold regions.

if I connect sinusoidal source to the circuit with frequency variation, then plot I-V curve of all transistor, is that correct?
