I have a graph with multiple line plots. All but one of the lines are clustered together, such that they appear as a single line; because of the huge difference in the values of one of the lines and the rest. Hence, I need to place a gap in the y-axis. How do you do so in XmGrace, please?

I found the following example on the web some time ago but can't remember where; so thanks to the original poster.
To create a figure with a gap on the y-axis you need three graphs.
1. G0 contains no real data; two sets in this graph are used to create the sine waves representing the gap.
Instead of a sine wave, any other kind of break can be used; straight lines, zig-zag, sawtooth, etc.
In the “Display options” of Plot/axis properties... only “Display axis bar” of the x-axis is active, while all other options for both axes are inactive.
2. G1 is the lower part of the figure. Here, the “Display options” are inverted according to the options of G0.
3. G2 is the upper part of the figure. For the y-axis of G2 all “Display options” are active, while “Display tick marks” is the only active option for the x-axis.

Michael Haaks thanks for your help but I was not able to fully follow your guide...You create empty graphs (G0, G1 and G2) and then two data sets for G0 with no data? How do you select the breaks to use? And define the break intervals?
Henrique Bastos G0 contains two sets but these sets do not represent data from an experient. The sets are used just for visualizing the gap in the y-axis. The sets of G1 (G2) represent experimental data for the lower (upper) half of the whole figure.
The break is created by specific placement of all graphs and using the display options of the axis properties... popup mentoined in my answer above.
I've attached the correpsonding .agr file. Maybe the procedure is clearer when you hide single sets or graphs and see what happens.
This option is not easily available in xmgrace, probably because it is not a correct representation on the data science point of view. Axes breaks may underestimate, or even masquerade, large data differences that may be important to the data analysis. Although such statement is true, personally, I am not against the breaks. Some more commercial/less science-rigid software, such as Sigma Plot, have a break option. More academic software, as xmgrace and ggplot, doesn, t.
