After publishing a preliminary version of my most recent article as a preprint (at ResearchSquare), it got published in a peer-reviewed journal (Animal Cognition). However, I did not change the title between the preprint and the final version; and when I search for the article in Google Scholar, it is still only the preprint that shows up.
Has anyone encountered the same problem, and do you know how to fix it?
How much time has it been since the paper got published? As far as I know, after a couple of weeks, Google Scholar should update the registry automatically.
If that doesn't happen, you can manually add your published paper in your profile (by clicking on the plus sign icon underneath your profile picture), then select both this new entry and your pre-print, and then use the "merge" option (again, on the bar underneath your profile picture).
