I am trying to understand loading conditions with MPPT. Perturb and Observe techniques enable one to track the peak points on PV curve, but how exactly they are carried out? Changing PWM merely causes more power sourcing to the load but if one were to look at the instantaneous 'V' values or 'V' plot they actually look like a pulse waveform and not a fixed voltage which we really desire. I am using buck/cuk conversion and trying to find a way out to drive the solar panel outputs to a particular voltage.

Have performed any simulations for your PV module, Converters and P&O MPPT model in MATLAB/Simulink?
If you have already done the simulations for the above then try the following
(a) Test the PV module model by connecting a Resistive load directly to it. (Say, Voc=24v and Isc=4A then connect 6ohm resistor to it) and test the voltage and current by varying the temp and irradiation of PV.
(b) Design your converter, MPPT and then integrate all together and test the output of PV.
The output of converter is always a pulsed voltage and it can't be fixed output either at PV or at converter load.

I have already tested with the resistive load and it gives me the results as expected. I mean the experiments were performed by designing the converter with MPPT. However, I was concerned with the instantaneous values of 'V' which was coming out the be pulsatile and wanted to fix it so I can have a constant 'V' at the output.
Is there a way to fix the output to (for e.g. 12v) at a tolerance of 5% (i.e. 0.6v)?
