The underlying thinking that underlies this question is essentially a small data thinking. To support this argument, I cite some text from Mayer-Schonberger and Cukier (2013):

"... Harnessing vast quantities of data rather than a small portion, and privileging more data of less exactitude, opens the door to new ways of understanding."
