any one know what is the best way to store adjuvants ?
I had bottle of Montanide ISA 760 VG , been in the fridge at 4C from July 2014 but no any instruction about storage or expiry date ?
is this still good to use as Iam in urgent need to adjuvant and didnot find in the nearest distributor ?
looking to hear from experienced people ASAP
Should be ok in the fridge, i.e. at 4 degrees. Remember to homogenise well before use.

We have used Montanide for KHV immunization (inactivated antigen preparation) in March/April in carp. At the end in October we could see inside the fish "yellow clumps" with ct values between 19 and 25 for KHV detection. It seems that M. hold tide the antigen and does not release them properly. It might be different in salmonids. We stored the M. frozen at -20°C.
Montanide emulsions will be fine at 4c, but do homogenize emulsions while using.

Dear Khalid,
Adjuvants from Montanide ISA range should be stored at room temperature (between 15 and 30°C as recommended by the SDS). As oily products, low temperatures tend to solidify the adjuvants and they would required to be re homogenized at 30°C before usage.
However Montanide ISA emulsions (placebo and vaccine) should be stored at 4°C.
Montanide ISA 760 VG has a 2 year shelf life. Therefore the product you have on hands is expired now (not at the date of your post though).
