Hello,
So I am trying to do create a map in ArcMap that consists of one layer, split into two, and a quantity displayed through each of the split layers.
That was very confusing! Here, let me get straight to it with a made-up example:
I have a layer that has US counties.
One of the attributes in this layer is “college education”, with two options, either “yes” or “no”.
Now, within this US counties layer, is also median income, per county.
What I want to do is find the median income for only the “yes” counties,
And then find the median income for only the “no” counties.
So my final map product would be a map of all the US counties, but with income values within the “yes” counties colored in a blue gradient, and the income values within the “no” counties colored in a red gradient.
How can I achieve this? Is this all about select by attribute? Or does this involve clipping?
Thank you!
