I have used Tukey test after one way ANOVA in SPSS for multiple comparisons of 5 different treatments but I have a doubt how to differentiate the treatments which are significantly different from each other using superscripts letters.
Different letters indicate significant differences between averages. If one average has the letter A and other average has only the letter B, then the difference is significant. If two averages has the same letter, does not exists indication of differences between these averages, in other words.
Example: average one has letter A, average two AB and average three has B. Then you have difference only between the average one and the average three since the letters are different (A and B). There is no indication of difference between mean one and two, since both have the letter A and does not exists evidences of difference between average two and three, since both have the letter B.
