The waterpik generates large amounts of water making it difficult to freeze small amounts of samples in the field. How do I remove only the tissue and symbionts of coral while preserving the material for isotope analysis?

Thank you for the answer, Kenneth. I want to use the tissue and discard the carbonate. Have you ever worked with water-pick and can recommend one ? by scraping the skeleton (followed by centrifugations, washings, freeze-drying, decalcification) I can get the tissue and the symbiodinium, but this material might include the endolithic algae of skeleton, which is not welcome for my study. Most publications on coral's isotopes used water-pik for tissue removal but we didn´t have much success with it. Is there any water-pik (brand, power) you recommend?
