I am working with RF module in comsol and doing parametric sweeps in frequency domain. The data generated is huge and taking a lot of space on my disc. The fine meshing that I need for my problem is making it worse. I don't want to delete mesh and study because it is costing me computation time if I run it again. The file saving option in preferences is already optimized to size. Is there anything more that I can do?

1. You can reduce computational time and memory by using a Periodic, Perfectly Matched Layer, or Symmetry boundary condition.
2. If you can play around with the mesh sizes and perhaps not allocate fine meshing in uniform zones and very fine ones in high-resolution ones.
Reshma Beeram as B Ghosh said you can choose symmetry boundary condition and another thing about meshing is don't choose fine meshing in the whole device wherever the feature size is small there you choose fine and in remeaning area, you can some other meshing.
and study if you want parametric, you should give a bit more step size.
You can reduce mesh size and also do the analysis for the specified combination in a parametric sweep in place of all combination that would be reduced the computation time.
Always save the paramatric sweep files separately. I have never saved into one. Use prob fuction to get the prob data from all paramatric sweep files into one file. I think this is usually the important one.
Further, if your analysis is time dependent choose bigger steps to save the data and fix the steps taken by solver to ensure better accuray.
Thank you all for the responses. The issue has been solved. As a beginner here is what worked for me for computational efficiency in comsol in general,
1) Using symmetry boundary conditions to reduce the size of the problem. It really really saves a lot!
2) Depending on what you are looking for, do a mesh refinement study. For example in an EMW problem, far-field properties may not need a finer mesh whereas near field visualisation demands it. Optimise your mesh accordingly.
3) Whenever in doubt or even otherwise, go for physics controlled mesh. You have a choice to edit the mesh sequence if you need refinement.
You can also save only necessary data.
For this method, Select important boundaries or domains in "Store fields in output"!
