I'm looking for some novel ways to measure out the amount of lead shot spray found in wildlife tissue. I have radio-graphed some deer ribs and gut piles left by hunters. They are full of lead scatter. However I am not sure the best way to weigh out the amount of lead left. The lead is too small to find through necropsy in such large tissues. Does any one know Breaking Bad's tissue dissolving formula? No I don't plan to get rid of my ex this way. It's all about science. ;) LOL

I'm wondering if large tissues can be quantified for lead bullet fragments using a certian light source beam from the synchrotron.
What do you mean by lead shot spray? Are you in a hunting area where only shotguns are permitted? How "full" of lead scatter are you talking? How many gut piles or deer ribs have you radiographed, and why?

Or maybe a lower-tech method could include using something like ImageJ to measure the area of fragments on the radiographs, then use fragments of similar size range recovered from a ballistics water barrel to estimate the weight in the carcass remains.
