I'm teaching in an inclusive classroom, students (teacher educators) with diverse cultures. Sometimes, I wonder and think of multicultural classroom to be productive but, often I struggle to find out the tactics and pedagogies to be executed to make my classroom more productive. Let me have your suggestions or support positively so that I may get a perspective, that will help me to make my multicultural inclusive classroom more constructive. thank u.
One way to become aware of bias in your teaching is by reflecting on your own assumptions and beliefs about students from different cultures. Consider asking yourself the following questions:
How do I perceive students from different cultural backgrounds?
Am I making assumptions about certain students based on their cultural background?
Do I provide equal opportunities and expectations for all students in my classroom?
Am I giving enough consideration to cultural differences when planning lessons or activities?
Am I using inclusive language and materials in my teaching?
You can also seek feedback from your students and colleagues. Ask for honest feedback and be open to constructive criticism. Engage in conversations about diversity and inclusion and actively listen to the perspectives of others.

Inclusivity will have little future bearing if students do not gain the skills necessary to be successful. Feeling good and looking equitable mean little if the results are mediocrity. This shows your passion for fostering a positive learning experience for all your students. I share with you some of my tried and valued suggestions, I continually use to support and help me gain perspective and enhance my classroom.
The very first thing is to get to ‘ground 0’ - spend time checking your own biases and assumptions. You will get a broader understanding if you pay attention to the students in front of you, then honestly check yourself; what do you think you know about them.
Take the time to educate yourself about the different abilities, cultures, traditions (as much as you possibly can). Read books, and explore online resources that focus on the different abilities and culture of your students.
Think about incorporating these resources when writing your lesson plans: Use textbooks, teaching materials, and resources that reflect the diversity of your classroom. Resources such as videos, documentaries, and guest speakers ( according to age), to expose students to different cultures and viewpoints.
It would be wonderful for you to celebrate diversity day, and encourage students to share their traditions and stories to acknowledge their backgrounds and experiences. Incorporate literature, music, art, and activities into your lessons to promote understanding and appreciation of different cultures and abilities.
Encourage open dialogue and respectful discussions about different cultures and abilities. By creating a safe space where students feel comfortable expressing their opinions and perspectives. Your students will learn the value of empathy, active listening, and understanding diverse viewpoints.
Encourage collaboration and groupwork projects and activities among students from different abilities and cultural backgrounds. This promotes a sense of community and strengthens relationships among students, and allow them to cooperate and exchange ideas as they learn from each other's unique experiences.
Encourage your students to use critical thinking, and teach them to question assumptions and stereotypes, and treating everyone with respect and dignity.
Involve your students and possible parents\care givers in the process by seeking their input, feedback, and suggestions on how to make the learning environment more welcoming and respectful of their diverse identities. Embrace the opportunity to learn alongside your students and be open to feedback and new perspectives.
Reflect and adapt as necessary. Your efforts will make a lasting impact on the lives of your students and contribute to a more equitable and inclusive society.
