To increase the illumination distance you need to increase the output power of the light source.
There is a simple rule: To double the range, the output power must be increased four times.
If you want the range to triple, output power needs to be boosted nine times. This is called the inverse square law.
It’s important to remark that more light is required by IP cameras in order to produce high quality images.

thus you want to increase the illuminated area without changing the distance?
You can do this by increasing the aperture of your radiation cone of your Ir source. So, if possible, you should increase the aperture by removing all unnecessary diaphragms at the output port of your source.
Additional idea:
if not already done, please use a reflector (like in a pocket lamp or car lamp) placing the IR source close to its focus. You may also use additional large reflectors (preferably curved appropriately) at the back of your IR lamp to reflect the IR light backscattered from your sample (like in a photo studio).
