Is it possible to generate a 3D plot from models using plotly? I tried to search over the internet, but many examples are based on the infamous volcano dataset that generates a plot from a matrix of points.
My two models are:
y = 0.49867x - 4.78577
y = 76.13084x + 4.81945
If not possible, how can i transform my data into the matrix format such as that in the volcano dataset? For more details, I attach my data file.
I have never used plotly before and i'm unfamiliar with the grammar, but i think i can manage if i can at least format my data into the same format of the volcano dataset.
Looking at your data I don't think a 3D plot is possible or would even be useful... Some quickly thrown together code for the data set to build lines and scatterplots in base and plotly...

Caleb A. Aldridge Thank you very much! This worked perfect! The thing is i have two covariates. One other option would be to represent the second covariate using different point sizes like what you showed me the last time. But i just wanted to explore to see if it will look better on a 3D plot.
With another continuous covariate the 3D scatter plot is possible in plotly. I think between the code I provided above and the examples on their website, you can make quick work of it!
Oh and 2D vs. 3D is something you should give careful thought. If the figure will be in print or another static form I'd suggest 2D. But if the user can interact with the figure (like when producing plotly graphs) then 3D could be more useful.
