It is better to follow the general procedure of extraction. starting with non-polar solvent ( petroleum ether or n-hexane), chloroform, ethyl acetate, methanol, and finally with methanol-H2O ( 70:30). Evaporate the solvents and separate the compounds using MPLC or Column chromatography.
