I hope to investigate the rate of co-deposit Zn-Ti-Mg on a mild steel substrate. From literature, with the use of a suitable bath, all 3 metals could be deposited simultaneously. However, i am yet to see any information as to how to determine their rate of deposition during the co-deposition process and also, a way of determining the rate determining step.
rate of deposition / build-up can be estimated from the deposited alloy composition... probably it can be analyzed from EDAX data of the deposit. From atomic % of elements in the deposit, it can be estimated using computer simulation programs, such as 'FARADAY' or 'ELECHEM' (for windows).
