Good day scholars. Please can anyone help with detailed protocol(s) for the determination of Beta-Amyloid, dopamine, Nitric oxide (NO), Monoamine oxygenase A (MAO-A), and Acetylcholine esterase (AChE) in brain homogenate?
The protocols I have been getting are not really clear enough. For example, to determine NO; take 100ul homogenate, add 400ul distilled water, add 100ul 25 mM Sodium nitroprusside and 500 ul Griess reagent. Read absorbance 570 nm.
In the above some stated 25 mM SNP while some 2.5 mM SNP. 500 uL Griess reagent was stated; but the concentration was not stated. Same thing is applicable to other protocols, none is clear enough.

Dopamine is usually assayed via HPLC.
