I am a student who has just conducted a study where I want to compare participants felt and perceived emotional responses when they listen to music. I had 3 conditions which where participants were randomly allocated to one of 3 pieces of music. Participants where then give the Geneva Emotional Music scale in which they had to first rate 9 adjectives on a 5 point likert scale on how the music made them feel. Then they had to do the same but this time to the degree they perceived the music to be displaying this emotion. I want to find out what emotions were rated highest in each soundtrack and then compare p's felt and perceived responses to the music. Does anyone know what tests I need to conduct in order to analyse the data and find out the answers I need?
