Hi everyone,

I have two distinct samples, and in both samples I am examining the relation between age and income. I therefore conduct simple regression analyses (where y represents income and x represents age):

Regression 1: y1 = a1 + b1*x1 Regression 2: y2 = a2 + b2*x2

I find that the relation between income and age is statistically significantly positive in both samples (i.e., b1 and b2 are both statistically significant). I would then like to check whether the relation between age and income is *stronger* in one of the two samples.

Is it possible to compare the two regressions in terms of effect sizes? I.e., calculate the effect size of b1 and b2, and then statistically compare these two effect sizes?
