I'm doing cohesion analysis from a sample of student writing (n=30) collected from graded examination scripts . The text are segregated into words per text, sentences per text, and cohesive devices per text. I also propose to see the relationship between student grades and cohesive devices. Since the text length is not uniform, I need to perform a normality check for the data.
Normality is usually tested by visual inspection of the data, Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) test, or a residual plot around the horizontal axis :)
