i want to change the seismic start time in Hampson and Russell, i import the data from petrel. In petrel the zero point is not same as the seismic that i load in Hampson and Russell. Is there any way to change it?
The simplest way to change the time in seismic on Hampson Russell, is “copy” the seismic file and “shift” the data, (you must know how much miliseconds) , and save the output as a new seismic file.
Another way, a little more sophisticate, is change the “datum” of your seismic file.
To change the start time in the seismic geometry in HampsonRussell GeoView, follow these steps:
1. Open HampsonRussell GeoView: Ensure you have the software installed and launched on your computer.
2. Load the Seismic Data: Import the seismic data you want to work with by clicking on the "File" menu and selecting "Open Data." Browse to the location of your seismic data file and choose it.
3. Access the Time Control Panel: In the GeoView interface, locate the Time Control Panel. It is usually located at the bottom of the screen, with a slider and time values displayed.
4. Adjust the Start Time: Click on the time value displayed at the start of the seismic trace (usually "0.00" or "0.0 s"). A text box should appear, allowing you to edit the time value.
5. Enter the New Start Time: Type in the desired start time in the appropriate format (e.g., "0.00" or "0.0 s"). Make sure to consider the time unit used in your seismic data (typically milliseconds or seconds).
6. Apply the Changes: Press the "Enter" key or click outside the text box to apply the new start time. The seismic trace should now display with the updated start time.
7. Save the Changes (Optional): If you want to save the modified seismic data with the new start time, click on "File" and select "Save As." Choose a new file name and location to save the updated data.
Note that these steps may slightly vary depending on the specific version of HampsonRussell GeoView you are using. Always refer to the software's user manual or support resources for the most accurate instructions.
