To evaluate sediment pollution, bioavailability of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is usually estimated using Equilibrium Partitioning Sediment Benchmarks (ESBs).

According to the document "Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, 2010. Guidance on Evaluating Sediment Contaminant Results. Standards and Technical Support Section. Division of Surface Water, pp. 12–13", the uncertainty factor may be needed when some analyses include fewer than 34 PAH compounds. However, this document only gives two sets of suggested uncertainty factors (apply depending on 13 and 23 of PAHs analyzed) (Table 2 in the document). What about those uncertainty factors applied to the other number of PAHs analyzed,such as applied to the 16 US EPA priority PAHs?
