So I want to calculate the internal consistency of a test which has three parts. Each part has 96 items. The test has a time limit of 45 seconds, and participants are not allowed to do the next item if the previous one is not correct. After which the scores of each test is then placed into a formula to give a final score. In which case from a technical perspective how do I perform such a calculation using SPSS or any other statistical program? Do I key in each item and obtain the reliability of each part individually? Is there a way to obtain a Cronbach Alpha for the overall test?
