Can anyone help me to understand the role of Auxin and Strigolactone in low tillering in rice. And, are there any particular genes that involves in this processes?
Don't think we understand the roles of these two hormones in tillering. Moc1 gene of rice is the main gene cloned for tillering but not sure if that is involved in these two hormones.
Thanks for your comments. Actually, I could identify one low tillering gene, Ltn2, within 28kbp regions on chromosome 7, using F2:3 hybrid population, and found only in upland. To discuss how this gene may be involved in regulation of low tillering in rice, I like to get some possible explanations. Thanks
