i want to modeling concrete material and define plasticity and damage in ansys (static and transient analysis).
ansys has different methods for damage detection as CDM, DDM, microplane, solid 65, and others maybe i don't know!
if any researchers has information about the topic please help this work....

if you wan't to us a theoretic material model - the Ansys support recommended the "Microplane model" to me - it includes the softening.
Or you work like I did - decide for a concrete mixture ; measure the force-displacement and normalize the values to stress strain ; these pairs of values are the input of the "MELA" material model.
In my opinion the softening is a very important material property, describing the stiffness degradation / the crack propagation, which has to be measured physically - like done with the strength, Young's modulus etc.
