The best method to coat a silicon wafer with a liquid suspension of graphene oxide would be spin-coating. Also, spray-coating can work too.

Silicon wafers are not hydrophilic, so we prefer to making it hydrophilic by using plasma reactor. After that we use to keep the wafer in a slanted position and allow the drop of GO to fall on top of it which then slides down to the bottom. We use this for AFM test.

I agree with Fosdick. However, I shall recommend to use plasma for improved adsorption
