A 73 year old male patient who had a CVA of the left occipito-temporal infarct has visual agnosia as well as color anomia. Could somebody please suggest appropriate remedial measures for this condition?
Truly I have no idea nor expertise, but I wonder if recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA), a minimally invasive surgical procedure used for intracerebral hemorrhage could restore some functioning to his lateral geniculate nucleus and/or (hopefully) the striate cortex to restore ventral stream processes.
