I am interested in what specific things (e.g.assumption, focus) make the term cognitive presence different from other terms listed above? What is the essence of the concept cognitive presence? Sometimes, especially in the process of writing about cognitive presence,  I have the feeling (or maybe illusion) that this term is replaceable. If you look at some coding schemes that measure these terms, you can find a lot of similarities. Then, what is the difference? Thanks
