The XRD analysis determines the crystallinity of the natural fibers and is generally used to indicate the dramatic change in the fibers crystallinity. Using the X-ray diffraction, the fiber samples could be scanned in 2θ rage varying from 10º to 50º. The resulted spectrum corresponding to the given fiber, shows the diffraction peaks of the amorphous and crystalline regions.
For composite application, using the high modulus fibers are essential to achieved such desired mechanical behaviors; since the crystallinity of fibers significantly affects the fibers moduli, so that the higher crystallinity results of the fiber could be considered as the factor for choosing that fiber during composite manufacturing
