I'm talking especially about functional groups. We are able to introduce many types of functionalizations ranging from amino, carboxyl, polyethylene glycol, azido, alkyne... to biomolecules like oligonucleotides on one half of the particule, leaving just hydroxyls groups on the other half for example.
