There are many statistical techniques to control for the possible effects of covariates on the dependent variables. However, with a few exception, non-parametric equivalents of these techniques have been almost entirely neglected in the relevant literature. Given the well-known importance of non-parametric statistical analyses, it can be said that that this issue should be addressed comprehensively.
