According to Elena S George et al. Adv Nutr. 2018 Review there are 5 key dietary recommendations for NAFLD prevention and management in adults:
1)Follow the Mediterranean dietary pattern.
2) Limit fructose consumption and avoid processed foods and beverages.
3) Encourage PUFAs intake, especially omega-3 rich dietary sources and MUFAs, avoiding SFAs.
4) Replace processed food, fast food, commercial bakery treats with unprocessed foods high in fiber.
5) Avoid alcohol consumption.
