How can we prepare sample for XPS analysis of catalyst powder of more than 150-micron size?

Catalyst size is larger than 150 microns. Drop-casting the powder sample on aluminium foil is not possible as powder is not adhering. What can be the other way? If I use carbon-tape for sticking my powdered sample, then it is difficult to visualize the coating on the surface for focussing under XPS.

I used double-sided Scotchtape back in the late 1970's....Sprinkle the powder on, shake to remove excess and place on the holder.
