What could be the possible stoichiometric ratio of adsorbed CO to Pd? Usually, literature uses values between 1 and 2. There may be the presence of PdO phase in Pd catalyst which affects the stoichiometry of CO adsorption. I think that similar will be the case with CO2 adsorption on Pd. What is the preferred value to be used? Kindly suggest the characterization techniques to determine this stoichiometry.

you can use the cluster model / or layer ( what is the number of atoms in layer) and define the n=1,2,,, " n: no. of metal" and the number of pd or... it is necessary obey the steric effect and type of bonds etc... . And evaluate the total energy for any imaginary configuration.

Determining the the stoichiometric coefficients for the adsorption of gases into metals is not as straightforward as it seems. However, a lot of work already exists in literature. In the first publication, some advises are given and there is a table with adsorption coefficients for each adsorbate/metal pair (0.6 for CO/Pd). The second one is a report for CO adsorption in Pt.
