The real funny Thing is, that first everybody can see the inequalities in the world, second the changing climate, third devastating wars and fourth the well known tendency of humans to escape dangerous situations by flight.

In Germany we asked foreigners to come to work here as Gastarbeiter since the 50ies. It was stated Long ago that not workers but human beings have been coming. Still the German policy is not anticipating any Problem regarding Immigration but only reacting when they ultimately are forced to react.
Problems especially for the social, educational and health System - particularly psychiatry because a lot of posttraumatic stress disorders (PTSD) that need Treatment - are predictable.
Similar examples are known from other countries. How can we come out of this vicious circle?
Sometimes both - a " rapid reaction to problems" or a slow reaction - are very dangerous. I'm not sure that all simple people think like this: "It is good if I steal the neighbour’s cow", but remembering an old slogan, I agree: it is better to build more homes and schools than military enterprises. Maybe then there will be fewer problems.
Government should adopt adequate long-term policy in order to react preventively and properly. If not, we should elect better Government.

The “too late political reactions” means that these governments that you make reference are inappropriate and dangerous. So, we need to replace them. Portugal already did a great decision.
We need to support international action that prevent and protect human being and the earth and I make reference to Bolivia with the recent voted law that want to apply as an international law through the UN, “Bolivia enshrines natural world's rights with equal status for Mother Earth”

We cannot use the wealth of other countries, we cannot use a slavery system in order to get a nice life in few countries and for the financial oligarchy. This is no more acceptable. “Too late political reactions” are responsible for too big humanitarian catastrophes. Recent Malta’s EU meeting for the refugees was a catastrophe and who is responsible for Syrian humanitarian catastrophe?
The real life indicates that the current EU financial oligarchy and its “political gastarbeiter” is dangerous for the human being.

This is a too complicated subject. I am afraid that one can answer your questions only with plain generalities or very subjective often deformed contributions. A very simple approach or desire may be the spread of democracy in supressed countries from where most of migrants come. The second would be to improve the life standards, but this would need to provide equal opportunities for each nations. The most important opportunity is the improvement of education everywhere. The clear, logical and ethical thinking and social practice can help. Unfortunately, all these things are practically impossible to implement because of the very diversity of interests and ruling egoism and vanity.
An example: a simple man was asked what is bad and evil? He answered: when my neighbour steals my cow. And what is good? It is good if I steal the neighbour’s cow. Until people think and act like that the evil events are reproduced.

Dear @Andras, yes, we are able to elect better and honest leaders! The problem is apathy and lack of interest of the average voter. Motivation is the key to the solution. Education also!

As for the politics, we have the general one regarding the specific countries, provinces and cities - but as well the institutional ones.
In some part - sooner or later - they are linked. So how about your personal experiences, to influence yourself the direction in respect to a prevention supporting research?
As this is another part and direction i will make this a new question where hopefully more RGmembers find some interest in it.
