How can the teaching and learning of agriculture or agriculture related subjects/courses attractive and appealing to the students in all academic levels.
Agriculture has a subject with vast flexibility alongside field application . The teachings in agriculture from students perspectives, can be more forthcoming only when the issues taught to them in academic classes find field application , curriculum is changes from time -to time in the light of emerging frontier issues of agriculture , to be able to analyse the problems in field and offer sustainable solution through laboratory plus field works...So this is a very subjective issue , i feel...

Very good question.Agriculture are related with fine details in human life we can we make teaching/ learning of agriculture and agriculture related courses attractive by using a scientific and experimental evidences in our teaching methods to explain the real importance of agriculture and agricultural technology in human been life furthermore we can explain it , s importance in countries policies and human health and nutrition .
Good question. Firstly, make it practical, that is, from lowest to highest levels, provide farm tools to all students and then take them to the farm and let them use those tools anyway they can. This should be followed by weekly practical lessons in the farms. All theory lessons should be organised in the farms so that students learn while seeing theory applied practically in the field. Also, students in all levels should be placed in small groups, and then each group should plant crops of their choice and then take care of their farms in a competition for which farm will have the best crops and which ones are taken care of the most. Such competitions should be between students of all level, and the winners should be compensated with modern farm tools to encourage others to work better. Also, all continuous assessments and exams should take place in the farms so that its farms all along. All these will make training practical as students wil encourage one another in their various groups.
I think Practical examples can help in better understanding the topics in Agricultural subjects.
Also, group activities leading to research on any subject or topic may be used to develop the interest in the subjects.
Building the "Problem solving attitude" in students is also an important contribution by a teacher. If anyone solves any puzzle or any problem then he or she feels happy and automatically develop the liking toward the subject. So this may also be used to address the question.
This is a great question. Agriculture actually includes a lot of practically relevant topics, e.g. its link to healthy food, sustainability, economics and ethics (investments ensuring farmers are not exploited). These questions are all very relevant, so I guess students might also find these topics interesting.
Dear RG experts, Kato Samuel, Tariq Al-Maliky,Salmon Khan and Rainer Spiegel, I really appreciate your invaluable contributions to this all-important question.
I am involved in Shared Leadership Research and Students ultimately seek full time employment so if they can see the light, after research to practice, it may motivate them to do the work.
Don't let it be only theoretical aspect that is taught in class. Get them involved in the practical aspect of the subject/ course. School farm is the students' laboratory, teach them also on the farm, let them do it by themselves all the theoretical parts they were taught in class on their on plot of land.
