It's a always fruiti when you do find the research Gap in other research.

Dear professor, we are living in a complex world, therefore almost all research is useful and has some degree of impact. Of course, the known facts in identical situations are not worthy of research and are rather pseudo-science and reporting some kind of activity. English language has made the world a little bit smaller and the impact is a little bit higher. I guess we lost a little bit of focus, when we are trying to be complex and the research is made for research colleagues, not for the world. I see it in my students' lessons. I often start to give lectures so complicated that they are more suitable for professors than for students. At the same time, many students are able to put the results of my research into practice. However, if they do not understand what I am speaking about, they consider it insignificant. I think that in addition to scientific journals, it is necessary to publish research results in popular journals so that the benefit of our work is not only theoretical.

However, when we talk about the benefits for science itself, the path goes only through publishing in prestigious journals with a high impact factor. Sadly, these journals are inaccessible to many target groups, and our work does not result in a solution or move forward, but results in publishing results that are only available to a small group of users.

The justification for carrying out a research is a possible sign of impact. I doubt if any research will embark on a project without tangible reason.

All researchs are useful & have some impacts. Even if a clinical research with same protocol is carried out 2nd time in one centre after few days - the results will have some impacts. I think the logical and unique research question, strength and weaknesses have significant role to achieve substantial impacts.

Scientific works can be useful and impactful if they are implemented and become integral part of the society. They should not be left just as a scientific ideas after they are presented in a conference or published in a journal. I consider myself fortunate to have an administrative position within the government. In my position, I make sure that my work contributes to research based policy. Once the policy is implemented and affects the life of the society, I know for sure that my research is useful and impactful.
