I have come across many research papers/theses where objective/s of study are followed by hypothesis/es of study or hypothesis/es of study is followed by objective/s of study.
Research objectives are specific results that a person or system aims to achieve within a time frame and with available resources. It is the aim of the work, i.e. the overall purpose of the study, should be clearly and concisely defined.
A research hypothesis is a specific, clear, and testable proposition or predictive statement about the possible outcome of a scientific research study. It is a tentative statement about the relationship between two or more variables and a tentative solution of problem.
A link must be developed between these two. Looking at different trends in use, there is a lot of confusion which comes first.
