Actually I am trying to cross link my hydrophilic (-OH containing) polymer with higher chain length cross linker (-CHO containing), but I didn't get enough cross linking density to maintain the structure of my device.

what you are dealing with is exactely what is done to synthesise polyvinyl butyral from the reaction of polyvinyl alcohol and butyraldehyde. So if you do a good bibliography in this target I am sure you will get inspired to find a solution to your problem. Regards

Yes, I am doing exactly same thing that you mention above only one difference is that my cross linker polymer as well as core polymer both are branched polymer with high molecular weight.
Sure I will do thorough literature search to fix this problem.
