I going to fix up problem and i share of my work experience which i got when i was working on solar energy project .
firstly i would you suggest that never be initialization the simulation in parallel mode in this case solution will be effected by this so always initialize in serial mode.
now let i come at you problem - you can easily apply solar load in fluent
you just follow this simple steps :-
1.Go to the model option and select radiation option and put the all details over there.
2. while define the problem you have to turn on the gravity for some case.
In Oder to perform your simulation you have to follow some model e.g. In Radiation modeling (Simulation) you have 5 model for simulation. DO is one of them.
In Oder to apply solar load you need some model. Which you can perform in DO.
I used DO radiation model with 700W/m2 heat flux. after simulation I got contour for incident radiation in which values found too high as about 7200W/m2. Why this is? Am I wrong somewhere?
Yes, for solar loading you have to applied one radiation model and applied solar loading or solar ray tracing according to their location. in Ansys 18.2 or latest version of Ansys you can applied parallel processing.
