Demand for days out at the beach is generated from two main urban centers. In the sample demand from the big urban center at more than 20 km equals demand from the small urban center at less than 10 km.

Estimation of travel cost count data model shows that the coefficient for the cost of visit is smaller than in similar studies with travel cost models but with demand from the nearest urban center representing 75% of sample.
