I am dealing with different primary cell cultures in my lab, derived from different sources of human (peripheral blood sample), avian (quail fibroblast) and rat skin cells.
I would like to expose those cells or at least some of them to UV light in different intensity and for different exposure periods of time, but I don't have any idea about how can I assess the radiation or the way by which I can control the intensity enough to induce transformation and then how can I evaluate this transformation and be sure about the changes? Can I do this via karyotyping and morphology only? Or do I need CD-markers and PCR as well?
