A simple one story steel frame with the buckling restrained brace (BRB) frame is a model in OpenSeees. Could you anyone provide me the best way for some modeling and selecting material properties and other modeling parameters to capture the response of BRB in the steel frame? Alternatively, I am also expecting some suggestion to model BRB with some approximate model or equivalent BRB model.

I recommend you to have a look at Adam Zsarnoczay's PhD Thesis (Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Buckling Restrained Braced Frames for Eurocode Conform Design Procedure Development) on modelling BRB in OpenSees. The material model he's developed (Steel4) should be in the latest release of OpenSees.
