I was exploring about meta-analytic reviews. I had a couple of questions and was wondering if anyone can help me with those:
1. The effect sizes (e.g. Hedge’s g) have always been mentioned in terms of comparing two sample’s effect (treated vs controlled for example). However, in some research, the studies under consideration do not have two samples to compare. For example, attached study does a meta-analytic review of TAM based studies. So, how do we interpret effect size (Hedge’s g) for them?
2. Related question is that standard error of effect size is dependent on two sample sizes. If there are no two samples, how do we estimate standard error?
