Dear All, I have a set of proteins for which I wanted to identify the topological switch points. Can anyone suggest any servers or software to identify this. Thanks a lot
You compare the main-chain torsion angles of the protein in the two forms related by the conformational switch. The location of large difference in the torsion angle often very clearly indicates the location of the switch point(s). In addition, the database of molecular movements links to some tools for the prediction and analysis of hinge motions (http://www2.molmovdb.org/wiki/info/index.php/Hinge_Analysis), in particular "RigidFinder" (http://rigidfinder.molmovdb.org) is probably what you are looking for.
