In an agitated tank experiment, component 'A' from the gas phase (continuous mode) reacts reversibly with component 'B' from the liquid phase (constant volume/batch mode) to form product AB; hence attaining equilibrium after some time. The reaction is fast to instantaneous. We can calculate the equilibrium constant of the reaction using mass balance between the total amount of 'A' passed, amount of product product AB' formed and amount of unreacted 'A' and 'B' remaining in the liquid phase.
How to calculate the rate of reaction or absorption? and can we relate equilibrium constant with the rate of reaction? How?
