How can I use GelAnalyzer to quantify Band in an Agarose Gel?

I recently started using GelAnalyzer as a more capable alternative to ImageJ for DNA quantification on AgaroseGels. The provided manual for GelAnalyzer is a bit cryptic and I struggle to understand how to perform this operation properly.

I assume I need to use the "Cal. volume" and "MW" fields to generate calibration curves. Could someone point me in the right direction?
