Dear all,
I am writing a paper and I have some issues with the citation from Mendeley in Word.
Every citation in the text itself is updated with no problem (currently working on MacOS BigSur, Word version 16.58). The problem appears in a table where I am citing various formulas of vegetation indices. These references are not updated.
I tried
- cmd+a, fn+F9,
- updating the Mendeley PlugIn in Word ("Update From Library")
- as well as selecting one citation directly in the table with the three dots (which appear when putting the cursor on the reference number) and entering fn+F9
What do I overlook? Do you have any suggestions?

Select the 'More' menu in the Mendeley Cite add-in window and select the 'Refresh References' button in the drop down menu. Mendeley Cite will update all references in your document, as well as the bibliography, with any changes you have made in your library.

Change your Citation Style
The citation update shall follow the following steps:
We head to the reference list in the toolbar on the word page
We turn all references to the last page at the end.
Change the reference we want to change or update
We return the process by turning references to their previous pages in the file.

I solved it for the moment semi manually...
1) mark the reference in the table
2) in the Mendeley plugin there appears a blue field named "edit citation" -
click on the underlined text (in this blue field) "manually override the citation"
3) click on the green button "revert to default"
4) save changes for the specific reference
