In transport process of gas at macro-scale when average pore radius is comparable to mean free path length(transition zone between both) we take into account klinkenberg effect which is explained as if gas pressure decreases the permeability of porous medium seems to increase.
How would get to know the average pore radium and mean free path length to get to know if this effect has to be taken into account?
Klinkenberg need to be taken into account for porous media with permeabilities less than 10^-13 m2.

The effect is due to slippage of gas molecules. Since gas is more compressible and slips, you expect that the permrability recorded using air is higher than liquid permeability (which in oil and gas is required if dealing with liquids). So, if you have multiple data points then, plot 1/p on the x-axis and kair on the y-axis. Extrapolate to x=0 which means indirectly p is infinity. Take that permeability and it represents the liquid permeability.
